photoWhile there are hundreds of social service, government, religious, and other private agencies offering assistance to older people and their families, finding and contacting them can be a bewildering and time-consuming experience. Sometimes, even determining what help an individual actually needs can be a challenge. Information/Assistance - Aging makes the maze of services more understandable and the appropriate help easy to reach.

One phone call puts you in touch with a trained professional who will listen to your concerns and answer your questions regarding a variety of issues, including:

Alzheimer’s Disease
Assisted Living/Nursing Homes
Bill Payment Assistance
Caregiver Respite
Consumer Fraud
Employment
Financial Management
Home Chore/Repair Assistance
Home Health Options
Housing

Legal Services
Medicaid
Medical Equipment
Medicare
Nutrition Programs
Prescription Drug Assistance
Prescription Drug Cards
Social Security
Tax Preparation
Transportation

Staff will answer your question, direct you to the appropriate agency or set up a visit to discuss your needs further. They can also provide informational pamphlets and other materials to help you.

photoInformation/Assistance - Aging has access to information about over 600 services. If you need information about services outside of Sedgwick County, the staff can guide you to resources throughout the United States.

Who is eligible?
